On Tuesday, 22 March, 2022, there will be a celebration of World Water Day. This day will raise awareness about the global water crisis. A core focus of this day is to support the achievement SDG 6: water and sanitation by 2030.
History of World Water Day
The first World Water Day was held on March 22nd, 1993. It was first suggested by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Since then, every year there has been a different theme. This year’s theme is ‘Water and Sustainable Development’.
